Party planning has been CrAzY! Josh has been working like CrAzY! The weather has been beautiful, but CrAzY (80 degrees two days ago and barely 50 degrees today!) So amidst all this craziness, the blog has been neglected.
Here are a few quick updates of what has been going on around here!
*Colby was the first to take steps! He walked to daddy the first time (which daddy LOVED!) He consistently takes 4-5 steps at a time, but loves the falling into someone's arms part, so ends with a big smile and dive!
*Zach took A step this past Tuesday, but is pretty solid just standing not holding on to anything, although, he really likes to bounce and hold onto someone's hands and do squats!
*Avery took 2 steps today at the picture place...but i don't think she realized she wasn't holding onto anything, but is starting to stand by herself without holding onto anything, and giggles the whole time!
*Does "monkey see monkey do" mean anything to you? Especially at the table during meals, one baby starts banging on the table, they all start banging, someone starts making spitty faces, they all start spitting (Lovely! I need an umbrella somedays!) Avery and Colby start clapping, Zach waves (that's his only "trick"). You get the picture.
*We have loved the warm weather, and take walks just about every day. Mommy learned real quick in the middle of the afternoon on an 80 degree weather day, that pushing a 60+pound stroller makes for a very hot walk!!
*We have also been playing on the back porch a lot, and even had dinner on the porch last week!
*Last week, I got home from the store, and Josh had fed the babies lunch. He said he had 4 stories.
1.Colby was clapping instead of signing "more", but with total accuracy. (we've been trying to work on the difference, but they are so darn close!!)
2. Colby was very carefully pushing his food to the edge of the table and then ever so gently dropped it over. Not exactly "big boy" style!
3.Colby dropped his cup on the floor in the same fashion and it landed on daddy's foot and HURT!
4. (This is the one he said i might be mad at him for) Avery said her first curse word. Yes, 11 month old sweet Avery is already talking like a sailor. Well, it might not be that bad....Josh was giving Zach a bite of sweet potatoes, and it dripped into his lap. Josh looked to see where the drop landed and it was all over his pants, to which josh whispered "damn" as he looked in his lap. Then right on cue, Avery looked down into her lap and whispered "daaaa" just like daddy. (remember the money see monkey do thing!) So now, daddy is very careful what he says infront of the babies!!!
*And lastly, for now, We had the babies 1 year pictures taken at portrait innovations today. They turned out AWESOME!!! It was so hard to narrow it down, so i bought a lot. And josh said my pennance for spending so much on pictures was that i had to upload them and update the blog. So mission accomplished...now enjoy my adorable almost one year olds!!!
