Happy Holidays 2010!!

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you all had a great day! We sure did! We went to my moms and met all our family on all sides for a huge lunch then ran around mamaw's house like crazy kids the rest of the day!

We played her piano too!!

We had a wonderful visit with our families and were so happy to not have to make 3-5 stops with 3-1 1/2 yr olds!
Friday is kind of a blur...I left at 10:15pm Thursday night to start my Black Friday shopping...and was home by 7:30am to get up with the kiddos! Needless to say, i got tons of good deals and had a blast shopping with 2 of my fellow triplet mama's and great friends...but was EXHAUSTED!!

Saturday we relaxed and watched OSU beat Michigan..."yay" as the kids say!

Then we suprised them Sunday with a "pretty tree" in the family room when they woke up from naps.
Here's how it started...
Too hard to resist!
Little Lynus had a rough wake up from his nap, so he missed out on the low ornaments...but he now goes after the garland on the gate =)

And here's what it looks like tonight....notice the ornaments have moved up the tree to create a foot of clearance above the gate!?
And tonight...we took advantage of the great weather and went to the Festival Of Lights at the Zoo!
Getting ready to go in...Colby practicing his 'elephant' impression.
Started with a pit stop for daddy...sissy is saying "dada??"
Ahh...Daddy's back...here he is with the babies in the "pretty lights"

and again on the candycane trail...

We had dinner while watching the puppet show...

We met a penguin and gave him high 5's

We rode the merry go round for the first time...(not mommy's best side)
and all ended up riding on the bench...good planning on our part to pick the animals right in front of the bench!!

We met frosty the snowman...

And Santa's reindeer...

And you guessed it...paid a rediculous amount of money for our beautiful family pic with santa...i mean....We Saw The Man HIMSELF....SANTA!!!!

(Avery screamed and clung to me like glue when i tried to put her on his lap...and clearly the boys didn't like him either...but afterwards, they got a candy cane and all said "hi" to him...progress)
Got a family pic taken by the big tree...

And ended our night with their favorite animal at the zoo...
and wore one little girl out!

(and her mommy and daddy too! Goodnight!)

Halloween Morning...

Halloween evening, ready for trick or treating!!

Our triplet friend's birthday party. This was the "baby play area"...in this pic are my 3 friends, and most of their families...so 4 families pictured...missing 3 siblings....that's a lot of kids!!

Lunch before the party at cracker barrell!

My sweet 19 month olds!! (they are sitting on the roof of their pirate ship...so i was trying to hold on tight...and no i don't have a mullett....the light is doing something funky to my hair!)

Going on walks...even though it's getting a little chilly, we have very cute winter gear to show off!

and the best part of this post....we've been practicing our dance moves...

avery's favorite dance partner is really colby, but he just isn't really into dancing with her!! we're working on that though!

we have so much to be thankful for this year! topping the list are 3 healthy, happy, adorable toddlers....and much much more follows! happy thanksgiving everyone!

18 months old.....already!?!?!?

Here are my sweet sweet 18 month old babies! We went to the dr. last tuesday (3 shots each=NO funx3!) and they all got a perfect bill of health! Avery is still the shortest and lightest, but she's catchin up fast! She weighs 23lbs 2oz (18 months ago she was 3lbs 6oz!), and is 31.5"tall. She's in the 50% and 25% on the charts! Zach is 23lbs 8oz (18 months ago, 3lbs 4oz) and is 32.75" tall, also 50% and 25%! And the big boy Colby is 26lbs 6oz (18 months ago 3lbs 11oz) and is 33.25" tall, in the 75% and 50%!! While we were there, the dr. asked me how many words they said....i was caught way off guard, and guessed in the range of 12-20. When i got home though, i started listing everything they say, and the list is well over 30!!! Way to go talking babies! My all time favorite is "I yah yah"....I love you. They all say it, sponateously and on their own, and know exactly what they are saying, and it melts my heart every time!

We have had lots of fun with this wonderful (sometimes too warm!) fall weather! We went to HallZOOween last weekend at the Cincinnati Zoo! It was a beautiful day and a great time! They had "treat stations" around the zoo...and by far the favorite was the banana ("nana" station!)

(Snugglin with Mamaw! They're getting so big all 3 barely fit...and when they do fit....they aren't smiling, they are pushing to try to get their 'space' back!)

Yabba Dabba Dooo!!!
This weekend was my multiple's group fall festival! We had a blast! (And won the 'most original' costume contest!!) It was the perfect location for my crew to run around and have fun! We went on a trail walk through the woods, ate a yummy hot dog and mac and cheese dinner, went trick or treating and ate lots of treats....doesn't get much better than that!!

Fred and BamBam

Fred and Dino (this is pre-pumpkin accident. =( Colby found a little pumpkin and was carrying it across the yard and fell....and dropped the pumpkin...well his momentum was going towards the ground, and the pumpkin bounced up off the ground and they met in the middle with a big bump and scrape in the middle of his forehead)

Fall Picnic

We had to run an errand tonight, of course right at dinner time, so instead of dividing and conquering (Josh stays home and feeds the babies and i go out...or vice versa) I packed dinner up and we all went together! We stopped at a park for dinner...and had a BLAST! Pretty much as soon as we "sat" (by sat i mean josh and i sat down on the blanket while the kids ran around and stepped on their food) down, 2 ducks must have smelled us coming. And once the kids saw them, they were in trouble! Avery chased one duck around waving at it and yelling "HI!" And the first thing Zach did when he saw it was made and "Elephant" noise...i guess looking at elephants in pictures makes them look about the size of ducks!....we'll have to work on that one! Then Zach ran after one and was talking to the duck in a language we couldn't understand....but i think he was explaining that the pieces of bread that Josh was throwing to it were going to be shared between the ducks and the babies....b/c that's exactly what happened. They all took turns (kids and ducks) eating the bread out of the grass. We didn't stay too long (hate that it's getting cold and dark so early!), but had tons of fun in the short time we were there!

This is when Zach was talking to them! Wish you could have heard it....it was hilarious! Maybe with a little bit of a french accent??

Here's Avery eating some bread...good thing the ducks were good share-ers

Left the hubby in charge of taking a pic of our picnic, and this is how it turned out...me with a freaky looking hand, and one child completely hidden by another...owell...we were at least all in the same place right?!

The ducks were not scared of us at all!! Just a little intimidated when the babies started chasing them...throught for a second they were going to come sit down on the blanket with us!! =)

Dinner Breakdown: Avery: A few bites of bread, some grass, and a bag of vanilla wafers she wouldn't give up on the way home. Colby: A few bites of his sandwich, and a vanilla wafer or 2 Avery passed to him in the car, Zach: A few bites of bread, some grass....he sits infront of avery, so no wafers =( Ducks:2 slices of cheese (who knew ducks ate cheese!?), and about 3 slices of bread, Cooper: (after we got home and were cleaning out the bags) 1/2 a piece of meatloaf! VERY Nutritional when you go to the park for dinner!

Labor Day 2010 and Another triplet play date...and the rest of September

Just for the record, I started uploading these pictures about 3 weeks ago...if not more. But haven't gotten around to adding any words to the post!
We got to spend a wonderful day together with Josh's family on Labor Day. We took the kids to the park and had one on one coverage for the babies...which made life SO MUCH easier!!! They had so much fun running around and playing on the playground!

We made the trek to Kentucky to visit some of our Triplet friends!
This was the best we could do for a group shot....can you find all 11 kids??

Once we hit this point.......we decided to head home!

One of the most exciting things we got to do in September was go to Good Sam's NICU reunion. We got to visit with some of our nurses that took care of the babies and show off how big they are and how well they are doing!
Here is a very proud mama with her beautiful babies...

These are 2 of my bestest triplet mama friends. We all delivered in 2009 and have been supporting each other since we met!!
Angela has triplet girls and 2 big boys (4 and 6) and is an absolute saint and inspiration to me.
Jenny and I clicked from the second we met. We have grown as friends and mommies and she is an amazing person!!
Here are most of Jenny, Angela and my kiddos together...except i think jenny's wagon is being taken over by some of our other triplet friends!! =) It's so much fun knowing our kids will grow up together and really understand the 'triplet' life with each other.

We had another triplet get-together called "Tailgate and Playdate"
We had to throw the "tailgate" part in there so we could get the dads to join us too!!
Liz, our host, just moved in to a beautiful house, and there was lots of room for the kids to run around and play. My three found a corner they could sit and hide with their bags of goldfish crackers!
And we even had a chance to take a family picture!!

This was as close to a group shot we got at the tailgate/playdate...Angela passing out crackers...the babies flocked to her like ducks!

Another fun thing we started is on Thursdays one of my friends with 2 1/2 year old Quads is a single-mom-for-the-night (AKA her husband works nights too), just like me, so we decided to do a standing weekly playdate/dinner date! We are 3 weeks in and have rotated houses and dinner prep! It's so nice to have a night off of cooking and knowing that the kids are going to have fun playing with their 'friends'....and knowing i get to have some fun mommy time too!!
Here's what our dining room looks like with 7 kids!!

We have been enjoing the beautiful weather too!! We had a picnic down in the yard, and have been having a great time playing in our new sand table....with BLUE sand!!!! They've all tasted it, and the only one who went back for more was Avery....YUCK! We also got new swings for the swingset for Avery and Colby (Zach still hates swinging) and they LOVE them!

The latest development with the little guys is their every growing and developing vocabulary!!! They are talking! And it's adorable!!! To start out with, the boys talked the most first, but now, Avery is like a little parrot, and trying to say anything we tell her! Her favorite is "no, no, no" (with lots of sassy-ness!) and the boy's standing favorite is "Hi". I decided they should be greeters at walmart...and help us make some $$!! They are so cute and so funny and make me smile a thousand times a day!! Can't wait to tell you about our picnic we had tonight....but had to catch you up on september first!!!
